Ms. Leibel is completing her freshman year at St. Cloud State and her future goal is <br />to become a city manager. <br />In reviewing potential projects for Ms. Leibel to assist us with, we determined that there are <br />several ordinance updates she could help us with, doing research and putting together suggested <br />ordinance language. Ms. Leibel could also assist in putting together Council reports, and is <br />interested, in attending Commission and Council meetings and making presentation. <br />Staff is recommending that the Council authorize a 12 -week summer internship. Ms. Leibel is <br />available approximately 15 to 20 hours per week. Recommended compensation would be <br />$10/hour; therefore, the impact to the budget is $1,800 to $2,400. <br />Given. Ms. Leibel's career aspirations and the impending retirement of the City Clerk, there is the <br />potential for consideration of future City employment. <br />
