MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MAY 27, 2015 <br />CALL FOR <br />CLOSED <br />SESSION — <br />2884 <br />CENTERVILLE <br />ROAD <br />CALL FOR <br />CLOSED <br />SESSION — <br />2801 <br />COUNTRY <br />DRIVE <br />representative of the City of Little Canada would not attend the MPUC <br />hearing on this matter. <br />The City Administrator requested that the Council go into closed session <br />to consider the potential purchase of the property at 2884 Centerville <br />Road as is authorized by State Statute. The Administrator reported that he <br />has received the value estimate that the Council ordered for this property. <br />Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2015-5-109 — TEMPORARILY ADJOURNING <br />THE REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING AND CONVENING INTO <br />CLOSED SESSION TO DISCUSS THE POTENTIAL ACQUISITION <br />OF 2884 CENTERVILLE ROAD <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fischer. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The Council went into closed session at 9:00 p.m. <br />Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2015-5-110 — ADJOURNING THE CLOSED <br />SESSION AND RECONVENING THE REGULAR COUNCIL <br />MEETING <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The regular Council meeting was reconvened at 9:37 p.m. <br />The City Administrator reported that the Council discussed the potential <br />acquisition of 2884 Centerville Road and authorized City staff to make an <br />offer for this property. <br />The City Administrator reported that the property at 2801 Country Drive <br />is the last of three parcels in this area that the City has been interested in <br />acquiring for redevelopment purposes. The property has been foreclosed <br />upon and TCF has contacted the City to determine if it has any interest <br />is now acquiring this parcel. The City Administrator requested that the <br />Council go into closed session to discuss this potential purchase as is <br />authorized by State Statute. <br />14 <br />
