MINUTES CITY COUNCIL MAY 27, 2015 CALL FOR CLOSED SESSION — 2884 CENTERVILLE ROAD CALL FOR CLOSED SESSION — 2801 COUNTRY DRIVE representative of the City of Little Canada would not attend the MPUC hearing on this matter. The City Administrator requested that the Council go into closed session to consider the potential purchase of the property at 2884 Centerville Road as is authorized by State Statute. The Administrator reported that he has received the value estimate that the Council ordered for this property. Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2015-5-109 — TEMPORARILY ADJOURNING THE REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING AND CONVENING INTO CLOSED SESSION TO DISCUSS THE POTENTIAL ACQUISITION OF 2884 CENTERVILLE ROAD The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fischer. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. The Council went into closed session at 9:00 p.m. Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2015-5-110 — ADJOURNING THE CLOSED SESSION AND RECONVENING THE REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. The regular Council meeting was reconvened at 9:37 p.m. The City Administrator reported that the Council discussed the potential acquisition of 2884 Centerville Road and authorized City staff to make an offer for this property. The City Administrator reported that the property at 2801 Country Drive is the last of three parcels in this area that the City has been interested in acquiring for redevelopment purposes. The property has been foreclosed upon and TCF has contacted the City to determine if it has any interest is now acquiring this parcel. The City Administrator requested that the Council go into closed session to discuss this potential purchase as is authorized by State Statute. 14
