MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MARCH 14, 2007 <br />Keis asked what the water rate increase will mean for the average user. <br />The City Administrator indicated that based on the average usage of <br />20,000 gallons per quarter, the increase would be $3.60 per quarter. The <br />Administrator also noted that most of the loss in the water and sewer funds <br />is attributable to meeting GASB 34 requirements for accounting for <br />depreciation expense, rather than in a cash loss to the City. <br />Mr. Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2007-3-64 -ADOPTING THE 2007 SEWER AND <br />WATER BUDGETS AS PRESENTED AS WELL AS INCREASING <br />2007 WATER RATES EFFECTIVE THE FIRST QUARTER OF 2007 <br />AS RECOMMENDED BY THE FINANCE DIRECTOR <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />MARCH 26~~" <br />COUNCIL Montour reminded the viewing public that the next regular Council <br />MEETING meeting will be Monday, March 26, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. <br />NO PARKING- The City Administrator reported that given MN State Aid dollars will <br />VIKING be used for the Viking Drive and Canabury Drive improvements, these <br />DRIVE AND streets must be designated as no parking in order to meet MSA <br />CANABURY standards. <br />COURT <br />Ms. Allan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION N0.2007-3-65 -ESTABLISHING NO PARKING ON <br />VIKING DRIVE FROM MINNESOTA AVENUE TO COUNTY ROAD <br />B-2 AT ALL TIMES IN CONJUNCTION WITH MSA STANDARDS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0).
