MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MAY 23, 2007 <br />*APPROVAL OF 2006 FUND TRANSFERS AS RECOMMENDED BY <br />THE FINANCE DIRECTOR; <br />*APPROVAL OFAMENDMENT TO CODE RELATIVE TO <br />MECHANICAL CONTRACTOR LICENSING AS RECOMMENDED <br />BY THE FINANCE DIRECTOR; <br />*APPROVAL OF REVISED AGREEMENT WITH RAMSEY <br />COUNTY FOR COLD-IN--PLACE RECYCLING ON VIKING DRIVE <br />AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITYADMINISTRATOR <br />TO EXECUTE ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; <br />*AWARD OF QUOTE FOR CRACK FILLING WORK ON CITY <br />STREETS AS RECOMMENDED BY THE PUBLIC WORKS <br />SUPERINTENDENT; <br />*RENEWAL OF LITTLE CANADA FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />GAMBLING LICENSE AND PREMISES PERMITS AS <br />RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY CLERK <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />DEMOLITION The City Administrator reviewed the City Engineer's reports relative <br />BIDS - to demolition of structures at 85 and 91 Viking Drive as well as 2250 <br />VIKING DRIVE Rice Street in preparation for the Viking Drive re-alignment project. <br />REALIGNMENT Seven bids were received with the low bid at $25,500 and the high bid <br />PROJECT at $57.900. The Adminisriator reported that there is still some asbestos <br />abatement work to be done on the structures prior to demolition. The <br />hazardous materials report for these structures should be ready by Tuesday <br />or Wednesday of next week. It is anticipated that the demolition will <br />occur at the end of June. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2007-5-128 -AWARDING THE LOW QUOTE <br />FROM FRATTALONE COMPANIES IN THEAMOUNT OF $25,500 <br />FOR DEMOLITION FO 85 AND 91 VIKING DRIVE AS WELL AS <br />2250 RICE STREET AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY <br />ENGINEER <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Allan. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0).
