1/16/07 Building Official posts building unsafe for occupancy. A certified letter was sent <br />to the property address, property owner, and Ms. Longrie. Mr. Sedaghat contact <br />the Code Enforcement Officer following the posting of the unsafe building. A <br />copy of this letter was not left on site, but instead mailed. CEO told Mr. Sedaghat <br />he could pick up a copy of letter or one could be immediately dropped off, he <br />indicated he did not want letter and just mail it. Mr. Sedaghat questioned reason <br />for posting the building. CEO explains that the building has been deemed unsafe <br />with the violations on site and a copy of the report will be available upon <br />completion of the investigation. <br />1/24/07 CEO calls Mr. Sedaghat to inform him another administrative search warrant will <br />be executed on Friday, January 26 @ 10:00 a.m. CEO offers Mr. Sedaghat the <br />opportunity to enter site with an engineer to conduct his own review of structure. <br />Mr. Sedaghat indicated okay and had no further comment. <br />1/24/07 Ms Longrie faxes over letter requesting a copy of the report outlining fire code <br />violations. <br />1/25/07 Mr. Sedaghat calls CEO questioning who will be entering site under the search <br />warrant. CEO explains the Building Official, Fire Inspector, Electrical Inspector, <br />and myself. Mr. Sedaghat indicated he thought we had all been through site on <br />last search warrant. I indicated it was the CEO, Fire Marshal, and Fire hnspector <br />on January 8, 2007. Mr. Sedaghat had CEO go through list of names again of <br />who will be present. <br />1/25/07 Joel Hanson, City Administrator, runs into Ms. Longrie at the Ramsey County <br />League meeting and informs her of the administrative search warrant being <br />executed on January 26 @ 10:00 a.m. Mr. Hanson invites her to he present and <br />informs her there is substantial structural, electrical, debris storage, and paint <br />booth issues that need to be reviewed. Upon advise of our attorney the building <br />was posted as unsafe and the City will be going after corrections utilizing the <br />hazardous building state statue. The report will be available upon completion, but <br />it is lengthy and is taking time to put together. <br />1/26/07 Administrative Search Warrant executed for building, mechanical, electrical, and <br />fire code violations. <br />1/30/07 Faxed over copy of Building Officials letter dated January 16, 2007 to Mr. <br />Sedaghat per his request. <br />2/2/07 Ms. Longerie faxes over a letter of request for the property owner to have the <br />CUP applications, text amendment, and auto licenses tabled until the March <br />meeting cycle. Mr. Sedaghat comes into city offices and signs the request as the <br />property owner. <br />2/2/07 City served with Summons and Complaint by Larkin Hoffman. <br />2/5/07 Judge denies Valor Enterprises their motion for a Temporary Restraining Order <br />and removal of "red tags". <br />2/14/07 City Council adopts the Order to Correct Hazardous Condition of Building at <br />3161-3167, Valor Enterprises. <br />3/8/07 Hazardous Condition compliance inspection completed. The hazardous <br />conditions within the corrective order were corrected and in compliance. The <br />"red tags" were removed from the building. <br />
