MINUTES CITY COUNCIL APRIL 23, 2008 CONSENT Mr. Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: AGENDA RESOLUTION NO.2008-4-112 -APPROVING THE CONSENT AGENDA WHICH CONTAINS THE FOLLOWING: *APPROVING THE VOUCHERS; *APPROVING THE FIRE DEPARTMENT CONTRACT AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITYADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE THE CONTRACT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY, AND CALLING A WORKSHOP MEETING WITH THE FIRE DEPARTMENT FOR WEDNESDAY, MAY 28, 2008 AT 6:30 P.M. *APPROVAL OFA LEAVE OFABSENCE FOR MATT MALLORY AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CITYADMINISTRATOR; *APPROVAL OF AN EXTENSION FOR RICHIE PLACE FINAL PLAT SUBMITTAL REQUIRING SUBMITTAL BYNOVEMBER 12, 2008; *APPROVAL OF THE 29TH RIDER AGREEMENT WITH ST. PAUL REGIONAL WATER FOR SKATEBOARD PARKAT THE OLD FIRE BARN SITE AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; *CALLING FOR A WORKSHOP MEETING WITH FRATTALONE RECYCLING TO DISCUSS ISSUES RELATIVE TO ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND INTERIM USE PERMIT FOR RECYCLING OPERATION ON JUNE 11, 2008 AT 6:00 P.M. The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. COMPRE- The City Planner reported that he has been assembling background HENSIVE demographics and data and putting the City's draft Comprehensive PLAN Plan update in the format required by the Metropolitan Council. This AMENDMENT draft information will be presented to the Planning Commission and the City Council during the May planning cycle. PROPERTY The City Administrator reviewed the Parks & Recreation Director's ACQUISITION report dated April 18, 2008 relative to the development of the skateboard FROM ST. park at the Little Canada Road skating complex and the reconfiguration JOHN'S of this site to locate the skateboard park in the present location of the CHURCH pleasure skating rink and the pleasure skating rink on the south side of the hockey rink. Additionally, there are plans for a future trail connection 18
