MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />MAY 6, 2019 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a special meeting of the City Council of <br />Little Canada, Minnesota was convened on the 61h day of May, 2019 in the <br />Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said <br />City. <br />Mayor John Keis called the meeting to order at 5:30 pan. and the following <br />members of the City Council were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL: <br />Mayor <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />Council Memb..er <br />Council Member <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br />Mr. John Keis <br />Mr. Tom Fischer <br />Mr. Christian Torkelson <br />Yr. Mike McGraw <br />Mr. Rick Montour <br />City Administrator <br />Mr. Chris Heineman <br />Finance Director <br />Ms. Brenda Malinowski <br />Public Works Director <br />Mr. Bill Dircks <br />Parks & Rec/Comm. Services Mgr. <br />Mr. Bryce Shearen <br />City Clerk <br />Ms. Heidi Heller <br />Mayor Keis stated that the purpose of this evening's special meeting is to <br />conduct second interviews with two engineer firms for a new City Engineering <br />Services contract. <br />INTERVIEW <br />The City Council invited two engineer firms to come back for second interviews <br />ENGINEERING <br />for a new city engineering services contract. The Council and City Staff met <br />FIRMS FOR CITY <br />with two consulting firms Bolton & Menk (5:30 p.m.) and MSA (6:30 p.m.). <br />ENGINEERING <br />The City Administrator sent three scenario projects to the firms and the <br />SERVICES <br />interviews consisted of allowing the consultants to,present their process and costs <br />CONTRACT <br />for each project, along with general questions asked by the City Council. <br />At the conclusion of the interviews, the Council and City Staff in attendance, <br />deliberated on the merits of each consulting firm and the long-term engineering <br />needs for the city. After this discussion, the consensus of those present was to <br />
