MINUTES OF THE MEETING <br />OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE <br />VILLAGE OF LIT'PLE CANADA <br />~ %~ ~ <br />The regular meeting of the Council of the Village of Little Canada, <br />was held at the Little Canada Fire Hall on Wednesday, August 12, 1.959 at 7:30 p.m. <br />The following• Council Members were presents <br />Louis W, Melancon, Mayor: Walter F, Coenen, Clerk, <br />Edward R. Loeffler, John Il9, Vitale and Cai:l Spooner, <br />Trustees. <br />Also present were Richard Boss, 'Treasurer, Oscar Londi.n, Building Inspector and Donald <br />Cax•1ey, Village Engineer, <br />Minutes of the regular meeting of July 8 and the Special meeting of July <br />20 were approved as read, <br />Mrs. Gene Azzge appeared before the Council to complain about the amount <br />of assessment for i;he repair of County Hoad B-2. An attempt was made to explain to <br />Rtrs. Auge that final figures are not available and that any argument at this time <br />would be yui.te useless. <br />Upon motion by Melancon, seconded by Loeffler, it was <br />"RESOLVED, that the Council have a special meeting on <br />August 21, at 7x30 p.m. for the purpose of discussing the <br />assessment figures that might be available so that all <br />parties concerned could be present and could be notified of <br />the approximate costs of the improvement of County Road B-2." <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 <br />The resolution was adopted, <br />Delores Egan appeared before the Council and asked if there had been an <br />estimate made for constructing Minnesota Avenue, east of Rice Stx•eat, Mr. Cax•ley <br />indicated that: the approximate post would be Eight Thousand and 00/100 ($8,;000.00), <br />Upon motion by Vitale' seconded by Loeffler, it was resolved thats <br />"WfiEIREAS, pursuant to resolution of the Council of the Village of <br />Little Canada, adopted August 12, 1959, a preliminary report by Milner <br />W. Carley and Associates with reference to the improvement ofs <br />Minnesota Avenue From Rice Street, eastward <br />for a distance of 1,300 feet <br />by constructing grade, base and stabilized surf act, and this report <br />was received by the Council on August 12, 1959. <br />"NOW 'PHEREFORE, HE I1' RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE <br />VTLLAGE OP' LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTAs <br />1. 'Phe Council will consider the improvement of such street in acc- <br />ordance with the report and will consider the assessment of abutting <br />propez•ty for all or a pm^t ion of the cost of the improvement pursuant; to <br />
