MINUTES OF SPECLAL, MEETING <br />OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF <br />'rHE VILLAGI?. OF LITTLE CANADA. <br />~ # ax ~ <br />Pursuant to call, a Special Meetiu~ of the Council of tl:e Village of <br />Little Canada was held on Friday, August 21, 1959, at 7:30 p,m, at the Fire Hall at <br />440 E, Little Canada Road. The Following Council Members were present; <br />Louis W. Melaneon, Mayor; iValter F, Coenen, Clerk; <br />T:dward R, Loeffler, Carl Spooner, John M, Vitale, <br />Trustees. <br />This meeting was called to order by the Mayor for the purpose of discuss- <br />ing with affected property owners, tentative figures as to the assessments for benefits <br />from the street improvement work now going on. Mr. Larry Nelson, attorney for Mr, and <br />Mrs, Eugene Aug~e, stated that he had been undex• the impression that i;his meeting was to <br />decide whether or not the work would be done on the road and he had not been :Eul:Cy <br />aware of the fact that the work lxad been ordered and a contract let, at a special meeting <br />in July, He further stated that he felt that i;he improvement would not be of much <br />benefit to Auges, <br />Mr, and Mrs, Karp were also present and were displeased vtbout the figures <br />on the theory that they thought ghat the benefit to others was such that others should <br />pay more than they do. Everyone at the meeting was again reminded that these figures <br />were merely Por discussion and that final figures for assessment <.ould not be obtained <br />until all. of the work was completed and all of the expenses were tabulated, <br />Upon motion by Spooner, seconded by Loeffler, it was <br />"RESOLVED that the matter of the improvement of County <br />Road B-2 be tabled so far as any further Council discussions were <br />concerned until the hearinp~ for approval of the assessment roll." <br />A yos - 5 Nays - 0 <br />'Phe resolution was adopted, <br />A proposed plat was presented t:o the Council by the John E, Blom¢puist <br />Company to plat: a portion of.
