MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITT~E CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />Agenda <br />Item No. 1 <br />Agenda <br />Item No. 2 <br />~ittle <br />Canada <br />~ridge <br />Agenda <br />Addition <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the <br />Council of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the <br />llth day ofFebruary, 1987 in the Council Chambers of the City <br />Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />February 11, 1987 <br />Mayor Michael Fahey chaired the meeting and called it to order at <br />7:30 P.M. and the following members of the Council were present at <br />roll call: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT <br />ALSO PRESENT <br />Mayor <br />Councilman <br />Councilman <br />Councilman <br />Councilwoman <br />City Clerk <br />City Attorney <br />Consulting Engineer <br />Recording Secretary <br />Mr. Michael Fahey <br />Mr. William Blesener <br />Mr. Rick Collova <br />Mr. Jim LaValle <br />Mrs. Beverly Scalze <br />Mr. Joseph Chlebeck <br />Mr. Thomas Sweeney <br />Mr. Donald Carley <br />Mrs. Kathleen Glanzer <br />Mr. Blesener reported that at a recent meeting with the Minnesota <br />Department of Transportation it was decided that the Little Canada <br />bridge will remain open during construction of the new bridge, and <br />will not be closed as was previously suggested by MN DOT. The <br />project is scheduled to begin in Spring of 1988, rather than Spring <br />of 1987. <br />Fahey pointed out that there may be a couple of weeks when entrances <br />to the freeway will be closed, however, the bridge will remain open <br />during the entire project. <br />Taxes Mr. Blesener pointed out that increases the citizens of Little Canada <br />received on their real estate tax statements were due to increases <br />Agenda by the School District and the County. The City actually reduced <br />Addition its tax levy for 1987. <br />Minutes Mr. Blesener indicated that on page 17, 5th paragraph of the <br />January 28, 1987 minutes, the phrase "over the width of water of <br />Agenda a pond" should be changed to "over the width of water of Ditch No. 16" <br />Item No. 3 <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 87-2-46 - APPROVING THE <br />MINUTES OF THE JANUARY 28, 1987 REGULAR <br />COUNCIL MEETING WITH THE CORRECTION <br />OUTLINED ABOVE <br />Page -1- <br />
