MINO'PES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CI1NApA, MINNESOTA <br />J~NUARY 12, 1994 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop <br />meeting of the Council of the City of Little Canada, <br />Minnesota was held on the 12th day of January, 1994 in <br />the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Raymond Aanson chaired and called the meeting to <br />order at 6:07 P.M. and the following members of the <br />Council were present at roll call: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Mr. Raymond Hanson <br />Council Member Mr. Jim LaValle <br />Council Member Mr. Steve Morelan <br />Council Member Mr. Bob Pedersen <br />Council Member Mrs. Beverly Scalze <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Admin. Mr. Joel Hanson <br />Public Works Mr. Dave Harris <br />Parks & Rec. Mr. Jim Morelan <br />Parks & Rec. Mr. Ken Wehrle <br />Fire Chief Mr. Dick Boss <br />Accounting Ms. Julie Manville <br />Cable TV Coor. Mr. Bill Bruce <br />Admin. Assistant Mrs. Kathy Glanzer <br />~IT~• Hanson reported that the purpose of tonight's meeting <br />IMPROVE[~ti~p is to review the City~s capital improvement budget. <br />BUDGET <br />The City Administrator began with a review of the <br />philosophy of capital improvement programming of the <br />Cities of Oakdale and Eagan, pointing out that these <br />philosophies provide a system of determining funding <br />priorities, principles and objectives. The <br />Administrator felt that these philosophies were close <br />to the how he believes the system should work. <br />The Administrator pointed out that the City has not <br />gone through the capital improvement planning process <br />before, and it is a process that is needed. The <br />Administrator reported that a capital improvement plan <br />is one component of long-range planning that Moody's <br />looks at and can affect the City's bond rating. <br />Page 1 <br />
