MINUTES OF TAE WORKSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />APRIL 14,1999 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop meeting of the City <br />Council of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 14`" day of April, <br />1999 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 Little <br />Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Michael I. Fahey called the meeting to order at 6:00 P.M. and the <br />following members of the City Council were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL: Mayor <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />ABSENT: Council Member <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator <br />Public Works Director <br />Code Enforcement Officer <br />Deputy Clerk <br />Mr. Michael I. Fahey <br />Mr. Jim LaValle <br />Mr. Bob Pedersen <br />Mrs. Beverly Scalze <br />Mr. Steve Morelan <br />Mr. Joel R. Hanson <br />Mr. Greg Schroeder <br />Ms. Elizabeth Mursko <br />Mrs. Kathy Glanzer <br />RICE STREET/ The purpose of tonighYs workshop meeting is to discuss redevelopment <br />LITTLE CANADA efforts in the Rice Street/Little Canada Road area as well as along <br />ROAD Country Drive. <br />REDEVELOPMENT <br />The City Administrator reported that with regard to redevelopment of <br />southern portion of the Rice Street/Little Canada Road redevelopment <br />area, the City is waiting for project details from the developer. To date, <br />the City has received nothing constituting a project, therefore, there is no <br />presentation this evening for this area. <br />With regard to the north portion, the Administrator reported that the City <br />is in the process of having a Phase II Environmental Study done. That <br />report should be available early next week. <br />COUNTRY DR. John Allen, Managing Partner of Industrial Equities, appeared before the <br />REDEVELOP- Council to present a concept redevelopment plan for the Country Drive <br />MENT area. Allen reported that his firm is interested in the development of <br />business campuses throughout the metro area and currently own <br />approximately 2 million square feet of this type of space.
