Advisory Board Appointment- Administrator Karlson noted the written staff <br />16 report indicating that there has been one application received from Jim Schueller to serve <br />17 on the EDAC. Staff is recommending that the applicant be invited to attend the joint <br />18 meeting with the board when that is scheduled. <br />19 <br />20 Council Members requested that Mr. Schueller's application be forwarded to them for <br />21 review. <br />22 <br />23 2. Review Regular Agenda of February 22, 2016 — <br />24 <br />25 Item lA —Expenditures —Council Member Rafferty asked, at which fire station will the <br />26 new fire pumper truck be housed? Public Safety Director Swenson said it would be Fire <br />27 Station No. 2. <br />28 <br />29 Council Member Maher asked about the expenditure of $9,000 to rekey Fire Station No. 1 <br />3o and the process and new key system was explained by Director Swenson. <br />31 <br />32 Council Member Maher asked about the expenditure of attorney fees to BLino LLC? <br />33 Administrator Karlson explained that the expenditure relates to the payment of certain <br />34 costs related to an assessment appeal. <br />35 <br />36 Item 3A —Resolution Calling for Reform of the Metropolitan Council —Administrator <br />37 Karlson reported on a request received from a group of elected officials requesting <br />38 support for the concept of reforming the Metropolitan Council. They are asking the city <br />39 to adopt a resolution that has been provided. <br />40 <br />41 Mayor Reinert added that he was asked to serve on the group that brings forward the <br />42 resolution that calls for changes to the Metropolitan Council. It's a situation where the <br />43 matter of appointing members is passed from governor to governor. He said it is his <br />44 opinion that it should be changed and this resolution is an attempt toward that. <br />45 <br />1 <br />
