Motion carried on a voice vote. <br />141 <br />142 PUBLIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT REPORT <br />143 <br />144 5A) Consider Resolution No. 1644, Accepting Bids and Awarding Contract for Lino Lakes <br />145 Fire Station 41 Roof Replacement - Public Safety Director DeGardner reviewed the written staff <br />146 report outlining the bid process and ultimate low bidder for the roof replacement project. <br />147 <br />148 Mayor Reinert confirmed that the current roof actually outlived its life expectancy by ten years. He's <br />149 also aware of patching that's had to be done to deal with issues. <br />150 <br />151 Council Member Kusterman asked about a warranty and heard that it is 20 years. <br />152 <br />153 Council Member Manthey said he's very familiar with the facility and aware that this is a much <br />154 needed improvement. <br />155 <br />156 Council Member Rafferty confirmed that the low bidder will be a good contractor. Director <br />157 DeGardner explained that he has checked references and further explained the involvement of Roof <br />158 Spec, Inc. in the bidding and contracting process. <br />159 <br />16o Council Member Maher moved to approve Resolution No. 16-14 as presented. Council Member <br />161 Manthey seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote. <br />162 <br />163 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT REPORT <br />164 <br />165 6B) Resolution No. 1646, Approving 2016 Environmental Board Goals - Environmental <br />166 Coordinator Asleson introduced Environmental Board Chair Steve Heiskary. Mr. Heiskary reviewed <br />167 the goals (included in the resolution). Environmental Intern Fonfara added comments about the <br />168 recycling goals for 2016, including improvements planned for the coming year. <br />169 <br />17o Mayor Reinert noted that the Environmental Board has brought forward an ambitious list once again <br />171 and he appreciates the work of the group; it is very important to the city. <br />172 <br />173 Council Member Rafferty requested that the council receive an update on the city's effort in the area <br />174 of Emerald Ash Borer. <br />175 <br />176 Council Member Manthey complimented staff and the Environmental Board on the recycling <br />177 program. <br />178 <br />179 Council Member Kusterman moved to approve Resolution No. 16-16 as presented. Council Member <br />180 Maher seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote. <br />
