<br />WS – Item 5 <br /> <br />WORK SESSION STAFF REPORT <br />Work Session Item 5 <br /> <br /> <br />Date: April 4, 2016 <br /> <br />To: City Council <br /> <br />From: John Swenson, Public Safety Director <br /> <br />Re: Achieving Compliance through Education (ACE) Program Staffing <br /> <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />Staff has provided Council information during the work session on March 8th and March 28th, <br />and staff met with Mayor Reinert on March 16th to further discuss ACE program staffing. <br /> <br />During the Council Work Session On March 28th member of Council asked the following <br />questions: <br />1. What is the revised forecast with no speeding violation participating in ACE? <br /> <br />Speeding violation account for approximately 80% of all the ACE participants. The <br />remaining 20% of the ACE participants stem from violations that have lower ACE fees (i.e. <br />parking violations); therefore, the financial impact for the reduction in ACE participants will <br />exceed 80%.
