CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 6A <br /> <br /> <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Michael Grochala <br /> <br />MEETING DATE: April 25, 2016 <br /> <br />TOPIC: Consider Resolution No. 16-28, Approving Acquisition of <br />Permanent Easement, Well No. 6 Pump House Improvements <br /> <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br /> <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION <br /> <br />Staff is requesting council action approving acquisition of an easement for drainage and utility <br />purposes to service the Well No. 6 Pump House. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />The City Council approved Resolution No. 16-15 on March 14, 2016 authorizing acquisition of <br />a permanent easement for drainage and utility purposes for the Well No. 6 project. The <br />purpose of the easement is to provide a corridor for three-phase electrical service from Birch <br />Street to the pump house and a future trunk water main. The original offer was $11,800. WSB <br />and Associates working with staff have reached a final agreement for acquisition in the amount <br />of $18,000. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />Staff is recommending approval of Resolution No. 16-28. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS <br /> <br />1.
