Park Board <br /> From : Lino Lakes Recreation Supervisors - Brian Hronski and Ali Lukin <br /> RE : Recreation Department Updates <br /> 2016 Year-to - Date Recreation Program Updates <br /> • Winter senior adult trips included performances such as " Holiday Charm "The <br /> Wedding Singer" , " Sister Act" and average of 25 people attend these trips . More <br /> day trips and theater outings are planned through August . <br /> • Light Up Lino Lakes was a success this year , we had nine homes enter the <br /> contest . The categories were Best Street , Best House , Best Business , Best <br /> LED , Best Moving , and Best Blow- up displays <br /> • The warming house and rink season came to a close on February 19th . We were <br /> open full time at Birch and Sunrise Parks and part time hours at City Hall Park . <br /> This year' s season was very short as we opened the rinks on January 8th and <br /> closed on February 19th . The skating conditions and participation numbers were <br /> pretty good while we were open . <br /> • Breakfast with Santa had another successful run . A continental breakfast was <br /> served to families before they took their picture with Santa , completed crafts and <br /> decorated gingerbread cookies . <br /> • Santa was busy again this year writing approximately 150 letters to children and <br /> adults , making their holiday season a little brighter . <br /> • The Secret Holiday Shop was back for two nights in December . 115 shoppers <br /> found the perfect gift for their family and friends . <br /> • Snow Day was held the last weekend in January . We had just enough snow for <br /> this collaborative event and enjoyed a great turnout of 400 + people . <br /> 1 <br />
