COUNCIL MINUTES June 13, 2016 <br />APPROVED <br />3 <br />Council Member Kusterman moved to waive the full reading of the ordinance as presented. Council 91 <br />Member Maher seconded the motion. 92 <br />Council Member Kusterman moved to approve the 2nd Reading and adoption of Ordinance No. 01-06 93 <br />as presented. Council Member Maher seconded the motion. Motion carried: Yeas; 5; Nays none. 94 <br />3B) Consider 2nd Reading of Ordinance No. 02-16, Regarding Enforcement of State Fire 95 <br />Code – City Administrator Karlson noted that staff is recommending that the council approve 2nd 96 <br />Reading and adoption of this ordinance that authorizes the city’s public safety director to administer 97 <br />and enforce the provisions of the Minnesota State Fire Code. 98 <br />Council Member Rafferty moved to waive the full reading of the ordinance as presented. Council 99 <br />Member Maher seconded the motion. 100 <br />Council Member Rafferty moved to approve the 2nd Reading and adoption of Ordinance No. 02-16 as 101 <br />presented. Council Member Maher seconded the motion. Motion carried: Yeas; 5; Nays none. 102 <br />C) Amendments to Licensing Ordinance 103 <br /> i. Consider Second Reading and Adoption of Ordinance No. 03-16, Amending Title 104 <br />600, Chapters 601, 611, 612 and 615 of the Lino Lakes Code of Ordinances Relating to Business 105 <br />and Activity Licenses 106 <br />City Clerk Bartell noted that staff is recommending that the council approve 2nd Reading and adoption 107 <br />of this ordinance that changes several areas of the city code that are needed in order to allow the city 108 <br />continued access to the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension data base for the purpose of conducting 109 <br />background checks for city licensing and employment purposes. 110 <br />Council Member Maher moved to waive the full reading of the ordinance as presented. Council 111 <br />Member Kusterman seconded the motion. 112 <br />Council Member Kusterman moved to approve the 2nd Reading and adoption of Ordinance No. 02-16 113 <br />as presented. Consider Resolution No. 16-49, Authorizing Summary Publication of Ordinance 115 <br />No. 03-16 - City Clerk Bartell requested that the council approve the resolution authorizing summary 116 <br />publication. 117 <br />Council Member Rafferty moved to approve Resolution No. 16-49 as presented. Council Member 118 <br />Maher seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote. 119 <br /> 120 <br />PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT REPORT 121 <br />4A) Consider acceptance of CenterPoint Energy Community Partnership Grant – Public Safety 122 <br />Director Swenson explained that staff is requesting acceptance of a grant to be used toward the update 123 <br />of communications equipment. He noted that CenterPoint Energy will be making a formal presentation 124 <br />at the June 27, 2016 council meeting. 125 <br />Council Member Maher moved to accept the grant as recommended. Council Member Rafferty 126 <br />seconded the motion.
