CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 16-32 <br />PROHIBITING PARKING ON THE EAST SIDE OF <br />SUNSET AVENUE (CR53) AND BOTH SIDES OF APOLLO DRIVE (CSAH12) <br />WITH CONSTRUCTION OFAROUNDABOUT <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes, in cooperation with the Minnesota Department of <br />Transportation, Anoka County and the City of Blaine has planned for the <br />reconstruction of the intersections of Apollo Drive (CSAH 12) within the City of Lino <br />Lakes and Sunset.Avenue (CR 53) at 109th Avenue (CSAH 12) within the City of <br />Blaine; and <br />WHEREAS, County and Municipal State Aid funds will be expended to construct this <br />improvement; and <br />WHEREAS, approval of this reconstruction project as a State Aid project is conditional <br />upon the establishment of cerin parking restrictions; and <br />WHEREAS, this reconstruction does not provide adequate width for parking along <br />Sunset Avenue (CR 53) and Apollo Drive (CSAH12); and approval of the proposed <br />construction as a County State Aid project must therefore be conditioned upon certain <br />parking restrictions; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is cognizant ofproviding regulation of vehicular traffic <br />in a safe and responsible manner; and <br />WHEREAS, the regulatory signs are considered to meet warrants for traffic control <br />established in the Minnesota Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by The City Council of The City of Lino <br />Lakes that: <br />1. Parking is prohibited along the east side of Sunset Avenue (CR 53) from 1500 feet <br />north of Apollo Drive (CSAH 12) to 1500 feet south of Apollo Drive (CSAH 12). <br />2. Parking is prohibited along both sides of Apollo Drive (CSAH 12) from Sunset <br />Avenue (CR53) to a point 650 feet east. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Anoka County Engineer is authorized to install <br />signs as deemed necessary for the proper enforcement of this No Parking Resolution, and <br />that certified copies of this resolution be forwarded to Anoka County. <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 9th day of May, 2016. <br />
