CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 16-91 <br /> <br />CONSIDER ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION No. 16-91 <br />APPROVING AN APPLICATION FOR A TEMPORARY ON-SALE <br />LIQUOR LICENSE FOR THE LINO LAKES LIONS CLUB <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Lino Lakes Lions Club has submitted an application for a 1 to 4 day <br />temporary on-sale liquor license; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, Section 340, allows the city council to consider a <br />temporary on-sale liquor license for a non-profit organization in connection with a social <br />event sponsored by the licensee and held within the city limits; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes Lions Club has submitted an application to hold a <br />fundraising event at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 171 Elm Street, on September 10, 2016; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes Lions Club has paid the required fee; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes has conducted a background investigation of the <br />applicant; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Alcohol & Gambling Enforcement Division requires the application be <br />approved by the City of Lino Lakes City Council before submitting for approval to the <br />Liquor Control Board; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino <br />Lakes hereby approves the request of the Lino Lakes Lions Club for a temporary on-sale <br />liquor license. <br /> <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 22nd day of August, 2016. <br /> <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council <br />Member <br />_____________and was duly seconded by Council Member __________ and upon vote <br />being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />The following voted against same: <br /> <br />_____________________ <br />Jeff Reinert, Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />________________________ <br />Julianne Bartell, City Clerk
