The Primary Election was <br />held on August 9 and the General Election will be held on November 8. Election judges are <br />required in order to staff the city’s seven voting precincts. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />The governing body of a municipality has the authority to appoint qualified applicants to serve <br />as election judges. The City Council approved the appointment of election judges on July 11, <br />2016 and staff is now forwarding the names of additional judges that are needed for the <br />November General Election. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />Staff recommends approval of Resolution No. 16-102, Appointing Additional Election Judges <br />for the 2016 General Election. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS <br /> <br />Resolution No. 16-102
