CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 3A <br /> <br /> <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Karissa Henning <br /> <br />MEETING DATE: October 24, 2016 <br /> <br />TOPIC: Employment Extension for Community Development Intern <br /> <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br /> <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION <br /> <br />The Council is being asked to extend the employment of the Community Development Intern, <br />Alex McKenzie, until May 2, 2017. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />Alex McKenzie started his six-month internship on May 2, 2016 to assist the Community <br />Development Department with specific tasks. <br /> <br />Staff is requesting that his employment be extended through May 2, 2017. This position is <br />budgeted and will work for 32 hours a week at $13.00 an hour. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />Approve the six-month employment extension for Alex McKenzie through May 2, 2017. <br /> <br /> <br />
