Hankee, City Engineer <br /> <br />MEETING DATE: October 24, 2016 <br /> <br />TOPIC : Consider Resolution No. 16-143, Adopting Assessments, 21st <br />Avenue Extension <br /> <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 Vote Required <br /> <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION <br /> <br />Staff is requesting City Council consideration to adopt assessments for the 21st Avenue <br />Extension Project. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />The 21st Avenue project included extending public infrastructure from Main Street (CSAH 14) <br />north 1,300 feet in response to a Petition and Waiver Agreement dated September 24, 2013 and <br />the Purchase Agreement dated April 8, 2013 between Alino LLC. and the Metropolitan Council. <br />The City also entered into a Joint Powers Agreement with the City of Centerville for their <br />portion of the shared roadway. The project cost allocation: <br /> <br /> Total Project Cost $1,069,543 <br /> City of Centerville $342,461 <br /> Assessments $605,019 <br /> Lino Trunk Utility $122,063 <br /> <br />The total amount to be assessed is $605,018.72. Attached is a breakdown of the 21st Avenue <br />assessments. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />Approve Resolution 16-143, Adopting Assessments, 21st Avenue Extension Project. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS <br /> <br />1.
