City of Lino Lakes <br />2017 Budget Preparation Calendar <br />• Jan -May — City Council provides direction on budget parameters. <br />• April 20 — Budget worksheets and calendars distributed to Directors. <br />• May 20 — Departmental budget requests are submitted. <br />• May 20 — June 30 — City Administrator and Finance Director review requests <br />with Directors and develop proposed 2017 Budget. <br />• July 8 — Proposed budget distributed to the City Council. <br />• July 11 - City Council holds initial work session on 2017 Budget. <br />• July 11 — September 26 — City Council scheduled work sessions on 2017 <br />Budget. <br />• September 26 — City Council approves proposed 2017 Budget and Tax Levy <br />and sets Truth in Taxation hearing dates. <br />• By September 30 - Preliminary Tax Levy and public hearing dates are <br />certified to Anoka County Auditor. <br />• October 3 — December 5 - Follow-up City Council budget work sessions. <br />• Mid -November— County mails Truth in Taxation notices to taxpayers. <br />• December 12 — City Council holds Public Hearing.
