Review Regular Council Agenda of March 27, 2017 <br />15 Council Member Rafferty noted that he's seen the Public Safety Department's new quint; <br />16 it is impressive. <br />17 <br />18 Consent Agenda —some questions were raised on process of getting a peddler license. <br />19 City Clerk Bartell responded with information on the city's regulations and enforcement <br />20 procedures. Council Member Kusterman asked about non-profit organizations (i.e. <br />21 political action) and the City Clerk explained the process that is used to license and <br />22 background that type of activity. <br />23 <br />24 Item 6B) Sale of property to American Legion- Community Development <br />25 Director Grochala updated the council on the process of a land sale (ordinance, two <br />26 readings, publication period). <br />27 <br />28 Item 6C) Comprehensive Plan Update — Community Development Director <br />29 Grochala confirmed that there were no additional offers to provide these services other <br />30 than the initial proposals received. He feels the team of Landform and WSB & <br />31 Associates is a good one and they will serve the process well. He reviewed funding <br />32 plans for the project, including a grant from the Metropolitan Council. For planning <br />33 purposes, a budget is prepared and includes a contingency. If the council is comfortable <br />34 going forward, staff would plan on commencing discussion in April and continuing the <br />35 process from there. <br />36 <br />37 Mayor Reinert asked how the council can prepare for the process. Community <br />38 Development Director Grochala suggested that the council think about their long term <br />39 ideas for the city.
