1 <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br />ADVISORY COMMITTEE <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />DATE: October 06, 2016 <br /> <br />MEMBERS <br />PRESENT: Thomas Colgan, Jim Schueller, Nathan Vojtech, Lou Masonick <br /> <br /> <br />MEMBERS <br />ABSENT: Julie Schwartz, Tami Wier, Chad Wagner, Don Johnson, Rebecca Glewwe <br /> <br /> <br />OTHERS PRESENT: Michael Grochala, Alex McKenzie <br /> <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />It was moved by Mr. Masonick to approve the minutes from July 07, 2016. The Motion was <br />seconded by Mr. Vojtech and passed unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />PROJECT UPDATES <br />Mr. Grochala provided updates on projects throughout Lino Lakes. Watermark development <br />will begin grading early next spring with ditch realignment options in the works. Distribution <br />Alternatives is completing grading work with footing being poured, and the exterior shell <br />expected to begin in a couple weeks. 21st Avenue will be fully constructed next year, with the <br />completion of the project. Northpoint development was approved in 2104 and is in their 4th <br />development phase. North Oaks is still a development concept proposing 206 units. A <br />CRJ/Centerville Rd ICE Study will be completed. A joint agreement between Lino Lakes, <br />Ramsey County North Oaks Co, and Anoka County is in the works. <br /> <br />The GREATERMSP is a group which works on bringing potential new projects to the greater <br />MSP area. The group identifies potential sites that would accommodate potential developments. <br />They have identified a possible project match for a 120 acre site north of Main St and east of I- <br />35E. The City will work with GREATERMSP and the developer to see if their businesses will a <br />match for Lino Lakes. <br /> <br />Mr. Grochala was pleased to announce the 49 Club has been demolished and site cleanup is <br />underway. Saddle Club 2nd phase homes are being built. St. Clair Estates final plat will be going <br />to the October Planning and Zoning Board. D.R. Horton purchased land from the City, near City <br />Hall and the YMCA, and has begun grading work, with a potential of housing pads being poured
