CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 16- 97 <br />RESOLUTION AMENDING THE COMPENSATION PLAN <br />FOR PAID ON-CALL FIRE PERSONNEL <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes has integrated fire services into the Public Safety <br />Department; and <br />WHEREAS, the wages and compensation of paid on-call fire personnel is a vital component of <br />an effective recruitment and retention program; and <br />WHEREAS, Resolution No. 14-61 established the compensation for paid on-call fire personnel; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, due to changes in the minimum wage law, the pre -service training hourly rate <br />needs to be increased to be in compliance with state law. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes that <br />the City hereby amends the compensation plan for paid on-call fire personnel, effective August 1, <br />2016: <br />Fire Fighter <br />Per Hour Wage <br />For calls during pre -service training <br />$ 9. 50 <br />Upon completion of the basic fire training (FFI &FFII) <br />$10.50 <br />Upon completion of EMT <br />$12.00 <br />Upon completion of 5 years of service <br />$13.50 <br />Upon completion of 10 years of service <br />$14.00 <br />Upon completion of 15 years of service <br />$14.50 <br />Upon completion of 20 years of service <br />$15.00 <br />Fire Command/ Officer <br />Monthly Stipend <br />Fire Lieutenant <br />$225.00 <br />Station Chief/ Deputy Chief <br />$300.00 <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 25th day of July 2016. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member <br />Rafferty and was duly seconded by Council Member Maher and upon vote being <br />taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Rafferty, Maher, Manthey, Kusterman <br />The following voted against same: <br />none <br />AT I'EST: <br />e Bartell, Ci Cler <br />Jeff Reinert, Ma • r <br />
