CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 3B <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Jeff Karlson <br />MEETING DATE: January 9, 2017 <br />TOPIC: Resolution Approving Location of Veterans Memorial <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br />INTRODUCTION <br />The City Council is being asked to adopt Resolution No. 17-05, approving the location of a <br />Veterans Memorial. <br />BACKGROUND <br />After much discussion about where the best location would be for a Veterans Memorial, the <br />City Council and officers of the American Legion agree that the most preferred site is the island <br />in front of city hall. <br />During the January 3rd work session, the Council directed me to draft a resolution that affirms <br />the city hall location as the preferred option. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Adopt Resolution No. 17-05, approving the placement of the Veterans Memorial in front of city <br />hall. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />Resolution No. 17-05 <br />
