COUNCIL MEETING DECEMBER 11, 1995 <br />Mrs. Anderson recommended that the City Council approve the renewal of the Circle -Lex <br />VFW, Post #6583 gambling license. <br />Council Member Kuether asked if all gambling organizations have to give 10% of their <br />net profits to benefit the City and what does the Dead Broke Saddle Club give to benefit <br />the City. Mrs. Anderson explained that all non-profit organizations must give 10% of <br />their net profits to benefit the City. The Dead Broke Saddle Club will be giving dollars <br />on a quarterly basis. <br />Council Member Neal moved to approve the renewal of the gambling license for the <br />Circle -Lex VFW, Post #6583. Council Member Kuether seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />REMINDER, Council Work Session, Wednesday, December 13, 1995. <br />REMINDER, Final Council Meeting of the Year, Monday, December 18, 1995. <br />Council Member Kuether asked the City Attorney if he had closed on the house located at <br />the corner of Hodgson and Birch Street. Mr. Hawkins explained that he is waiting for the <br />County to obtain a release of a mortgage. The County will let him know when the release <br />is secured. There will also be a waiting period to clear all title problems. <br />Council Member Elliott moved to adjourn at 8:18 P.M. Council Member Neal seconded <br />the motion.
