3 <br />service coverage areas for paging are very large, with some paging providers <br />offering nation-wide coverage. <br />Personal Digital Assistant - A pocket sized device that processes phone calls <br />and messages and performs computer functions such as data entry or retrieving <br />information from a database. <br />Personal Mobility - A feature that may be offered by some PCS services <br />which tracks and makes calls and information to specific people rather than <br />specific locations. <br />Personal Number - A telephone number that is assigned to a person and not <br />a geographic location, such as a residence or a business. <br />Personal Telecommunications Services (PTS) - A PCS service that is <br />expected to provide two-way voice and data communications through hand- <br />held and car mounted phones and through wireless modems integrated into <br />computers and other devices such as electronic notebooks. PTS is anticipated <br />to offer many enhanced features such as voice mail and call waiting. <br />Geographic service areas for PTS are expected to be very large and may cover <br />cities, counties and entire states. <br />Smart Card - A credit card -like device capable of storing and transferring <br />information regarding the card's user to communications devices, such as hand- <br />held and car phones, notebook computers and personal digital assistants. This <br />information could include how the user would like phone calls handled, method <br />of payment and the user's personal number. <br />Telepoint - A PCS service that can provide either one or two-way voice and <br />data communications through hand-held phones and devices such as electronic <br />notebooks. It is anticipated that telepoint services will cover smaller <br />geographic areas and offer fewer features than other PCS services, such as <br />cellular and PTS, at a lower price. <br />Video Mail - The electronic storage and transfer of voice and motion video <br />messages. <br />
