EXHIBIT "A" <br />CONSULTING ENGINEER AGREEMENT <br />THIS AGREEMENT, by and between the City of Lino Lakes, Minnesota, hereinafter <br />referred to as "City", and JOHN R. DUBOIS, 7005 Heatherton Trail, Minneapolis, Minnesota, <br />hereinafter referred to as "Engineer", WITNESSETH: <br />WHEREAS, the City desires communications engineering assistance in connection with the <br />on-going operations of the City and private radio systems, and <br />WHEREAS, Engineer is an experienced and qualified Registered Professional <br />Communications Engineer capable of providing the desired type of expertise; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, it is mutually agreed between the City and Engineer as follows: <br />A. SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />1. The City hereby engages the Engineer to provide communications <br />engineering services for the City's two-way radio systems, including space <br />leasing coordination at the City's various elevated water storage tanks, and <br />the Engineer agrees to provide the services therefore according to the terms <br />and conditions of this agreement. <br />2. The engineer will perform the requested services on a task -by -task basis as <br />covered by specific task descriptions as the need arises. <br />3. The Engineer will be available to provide said services upon receipt of a <br />copy of this agreement signed by the City and will continue such services <br />until completed. <br />B. COMPENSATION <br />Compensation will be made to the Engineer at the rate of $70.00 per hour, plus <br />expenses; expenses shall include the actual cost of required typing expenses, <br />technical assistance, equipment rental, travel expenses at the rate of $.23/mile <br />necessary to complete the authorized work properly. Payment shall be made upon <br />submission of an itemized statement to the City after the work is completed. City <br />will pay the statement within thirty (30) days of receipt. The maximum amount of <br />this Agreement may not exceed $2,500 without prior approval of the City. <br />
