VOLUNTEERS OF AMERICA .. . was founded March 8, 1896 <br />in New York City. On April 24, 1896 services began in Minneapolis. <br />VOLUNTEERS OF AMERICA, a national Christian human service organization, <br />has a 100 year history of serving people in need; regardless of their race, color or <br />creed. It seeks to develop programs in areas where needs are not being met by <br />existing services. <br />VOLUNTEERS OF AMERICA staff is comprised of individuals who not only have <br />administrative and/or professional social work expertise, but who also have a <br />commitment to the Christian mission of the organization; the reaching and uplifting <br />of all people. Last year, in addition to 300 staff, more than 2,100 persons volunteered <br />their talents to help enrich program services in Minnesota. <br />VOLUNTEERS OF AMERICA, a 501(c)(3) organization, is eligible to receive tax <br />deductible donations. <br />VOLUNTEERS OF AMERICA meets all regulatory standards, publishes an annual <br />report, has a certified audit, and files with the Charities Division of the Minnesota <br />Attorney General's Office. <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS <br />Ronald L.
