4. A-3 COMPLEX <br />Open ended financial commitment for land acquisition. <br />After lengthy discussion on the athletic complex it was decided <br />to keep pursuing doing a joint venture with surrounding communities. <br />This is the best way to acquire grant money for the acquisitionof land <br />for the complex. However, members felt they did not want to put <br />additional mouey in this project for the present time unless needed to <br />pursue property acquisition. <br />5. QUAIL RIDGE <br />Master plan, trail and boardwalk. <br />Marty will see if Michael Krech can work on a base map for <br />this park so the cost for Brauer to do the master plan. will he Touch. less. <br />The board estimated the trail and boardwalk to cost approximately <br />$21,200.00. This will not be done this year but in. the future. <br />6. COUNTRY LAKES PARK <br />Trails and general grading. <br />There has been a great deal of work. done in this park this year. <br />is approximately $6,500.00 deft from the 1995 goal budget. The Par <br />Board decided to spend the $6,500.00 budgeted, but to not budget <br />anything for 1996. <br />CL.EARWATER CREEK <br />Trail development. <br />The board decided to wait for development in this project. <br />$o <br />$3,000.00 <br />$0 <br />$0 <br />TOTAL CAST $93,000.00 <br />MISSION STATEMENTS <br />1. Lino Lakes Park Board would like to explore the possibility of creating a joint use athletic <br />complex ( A-3 ) with the cities of Centerville and Circle Pines. <br />2, in an effort to connect the northern part of the city to the southern part by means of a trail <br />corridor, we would like to go on record in support of a new bridge wide enough to <br />accommodate a transportation trail at the I iwy. 49 crossing of Rice Creek between Baldwin <br />Lake and Rice Lake. <br />The Park Board supports any cooperative efforts with the school district regarding joint <br />development and joint use of school district recreational facilities. <br />
