on the flood plain that result from designation of a floodway. <br />1103.06 Floodplain Overlay District Uses. <br />Subdivision 1. Permitted Uses. The following uses have a low <br />flood potential and do not obstruct flood flows. These uses <br />shall be permitted within the Flood Plain Overlay District to <br />the extent that they are allowed in the underlying base zoning <br />district, they are not prohibited by any other ordinance and <br />provided they do not require structures, fill, or storage of <br />materials or equipment. In addition, no use shall adversely <br />affect the capacity of the channels or flood plains or any <br />tributary to the main stream or of any drainage ditch, or any <br />other drainage facility or system. <br />A. Agricultural uses such as general farming, pasture, <br />grazing, outdoor plant nurseries, horticulture, truck <br />farming, forestry, sod farming and wild crop harvesting. <br />B. Industrial -commercial uses such as loading areas, <br />parking areas, and airport landing strips. <br />C. Private and public recreational uses such as golf <br />courses, tennis courts, driving ranges, archery ranges, <br />picnic grounds, swimming areas, parks, wildlife and <br />nature preserves, game farms, fish hatcheries, shooting <br />preserves, target ranges, trap and skeet ranges, hunting <br />and fishing areas, and single- or multiple -purpose <br />recreational trails. <br />D. Residential accessory uses such as lawns, gardens, <br />parking areas and play areas as long as no permanent <br />structures are constructed. <br />E. Boat launching ramps and docks on riparian lots <br />accessory to a permitted principal use. <br />Subd. 2. Conditional Uses. <br />A. The following use and structures may be permitted <br />in the Floodplain Overlay District only after the <br />issuance of a conditional use permit, as provided for <br />in Section 1103.04, Subd. 9 of this Ordinance. These <br />uses shall be permitted within the Floodplain Overlay <br />District to the extent that they are allowed in the <br />underlying base zoning district, they are not <br />prohibited by any other ordinance, and they comply with <br />the provisions of Section 1103.07, which applies to all <br />Floodplain Overlay District conditional uses. <br />1.
