He said it
really is a team effort to achieve the goals. Marty also thanked
the Park Board for their work and help to accomplish what they
have done.
George. asked what had been budgeted for Birchwood Acres Park in
1995. Marty thought it was $15,000 to $18,000. George thought
this might have to be looked at in the future because this is
such a large area for the three neighborhoods. George also
suggested that the neighborhood name this park.
Joe said he felt better with the change in the Birch Park
figures, thus lowering the total cost from $115,000 to $93,000.
Joe said we must be careful with the athletic complex when it
comes to additional spending. He said he would keep the 1995 goals in perspective
with the 1996 project and they would have higher priority. Marty
said some of the unfinished projects won't take any time at all
to complete.
MOTION: Joe Schmidt made a motion to adopt the goals with
modifications as stated. Amend the estimate with correction to
Birch Park estimated costs from $37,000 to $15,000. Also, give
the 1995 projects higher priority than the 1996 projects. Pam
Taschuk seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
With the change in the Birch Park figure the 1996 Goal Priorities
are as follows:
7
