She also noted that precinct boundaries will continue to be <br />rearranged until the City reaches maximum growth. <br />Mrs. Anderson explained that approval of the division of Precinct No. 3 is required before <br />June 1, 1996. If the division is approved, she will notify the Elections and Voter <br />Registrations Division at Anoka County and the Office of the Secretary of State, Division <br />of Voter Registration and Elections. Anoka County will notify all registered voters who <br />will be voting in the new precinct where their new polling place is located. Mrs. <br />Anderson will also include this information in the Summer and Fall Newsletter as well as <br />placing the information on Cable T V. She explained that since this election is a <br />presidential election where voter turnout is usually larger, notification of affected <br />residents is an important issue. Mrs. Anderson said that she will notify all residents in the <br />newly created Precinct No. 4 whether registered or not, that they will be voting at the <br />Living Waters Lutheran Church. <br />Mrs. Anderson recommended that the City Council adopt a motion approving the <br />division of Precinct No. 3 as outlined above. <br />Council Member Neal moved to adopt the recommendation of the City Clerk. Council <br />Member Kuether seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />REMINDER, Last Regular Council Meeting in May will be held on Tuesday, May <br />28, 1996. <br />Council Member Lyden referred to the Leadership -Team Building goals and said that he <br />felt one goal should be new entrance signs to the City. He suggested that the entrance <br />signs for the City of Little Canada could be used as a guide. Council Member Kuether <br />said that maybe this concern could be mentioned to the Friends of the Parks Foundation. <br />She also suggested that a Public Relations Committee be formed to work at improving <br />the image of the City. Council Member Kuether noted that City wide events could <br />include a parade, a Miss Lino Lakes contest and other such events. <br />Council Member Neal moved to adjourn at 9:04 P.M.
