Pecchia, Chief of Police <br />DATE January 23, 1995 <br />TOPIC Consideration of Resolution No 95 - 06 <br />Accepting Donation from the Circle -Lex <br />VFW, Post #6583 for the D.A.R.E. <br />Program. <br />BACKGROUND <br />Commencing in 1995, the Lino Lakes Police Department began <br />teaching the D.A.R.E. Program in local elementary schools. <br />The goal of the Lino Lakes Police Department is to ensure <br />that the D.A.R.E. Program will become totally funded through <br />donations from the community. The Circle -Lex VFW, Post <br />#6583 is aware of this goaland has donated $8,000.00 toward <br />the cost of administering the program in the local <br />elementary schools. The purpose of Resolution No. 95 - 06 <br />is to publicly thank the Circle -Lex VFW, Post 16583 for <br />their generous donation. <br />• Adopt Resolution No. 95 - 06 accepting the donation. <br />• Return the Resolution to staff for further information. <br />RECOMM*NDATION <br />Option No. 1 <br />
