AGENDA ITEM #6 <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: JACKIE CONSTANT <br />DATE: JANUARY 19, 1995 <br />TOPIC: SOLID WASTE SERVICE AT CITY HALL <br />BACKGROUND <br />Upon reviewing the city's solid waste disposal bill, licensed commercial haulers were <br />contacted to obtain a proposal on the trash and recycling removal for the city. Attached <br />are copies of the proposals received. <br />BFI is the hauler that proposed the lowest cost of service to the city. There would be no <br />fee for recycling pickup and a savings of $49,00 per month from our current trash <br />disposal bill. An overall savings to the city of $1200.00 dollars per year. <br />OPTIONS <br />Option #L BFI perform trash and recycling pickup service to city hall. <br />Option #2: Continue with existing arrangement. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Option #1 BFI perform trash and recycling pickup service to city hall. <br />
