In order to create a violence
free society, the community and the systems created by the
community need to become more aware of and respond more effectively
to the issues that perpetuate violence.
Our legal advocate staff, in an effort to ensure "systems"
accountability, strive to work closely with the community, its
organizations and agencies that have en impact on the needs of
battered women and their families. These include police,
prosecuting attorneys, judges, probation officers and counseling
agencies. Additionally, legal advocate staff participate on local
and statewide committees that provide leadership in addressing the
issues of domestic violence.
TATAL P.03
