January 9, 1995
Paula M. Schloer
City of Lino Lakes
1189 Main Street
Lino Lakes, MN 55014
Dear Ms. Schloer:
RECEIVED
JAN 1 1 1995
CITY nr I tnln , A
CEAP submits the following grant for your consideration as a
request for the 1995 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
funds available in the amount of $ 1,000 dollars.
CDBG funding allows CEAP to continue serving Lino Lakes
residents, and meet the rising demands for our services. This
partnership allows CEAP and the City of Lino Lakes to work toward
the common goal of serving the people of the community.
Helping families to self-sufficiency is an extensive task and
requires intense staff and volunteer time. Self-sufficiency
needs are correlated with the inability to live independently of
emergency services. For example, emergency financial assistance
is frequently associated with longer term problems. Emergency
Services are also critical to the preventative of hunger and
homelessness issues.
The services that we provide are of great value to those who need
them. In order to help the people we serve and strengthen the
community, we must proactively respond to the needs before they
assume critical proportions.
We sincerely hope that the City of Lino Lakes will join with CEAP
in the continuing fight to help those less fortunate in the
community. Combining our resources will make the community
stronger and more effective in meeting the needs of the people we
serve.
Sincerely,
j
Victoria Peery j.
Resource Development
Enclosure
7231 Brooklyn Boulevard at CEAP WAY.
