PLANNING & ZONING BOARD <br />MARCH 13, 1996 <br />Mr. Robinson asked if there would be a sign located on the back side of <br />the building facing Highway 35W. <br />Mr. Chappell stated the building in Blaine had a sign which was one foot <br />high with the name of the company. He felt it may be appropriate to <br />place this same type of sign on the back side of the building. <br />Mr. Herr stated he felt a lighting plan should be required and included as <br />a condition. <br />Guy Herr made a MOTION to approve the site plan review for <br />Progressive Engineering, 450 Apollo Drive with the 7 stated conditions <br />and an additional condition 8; A lighting plan shall be provided to be <br />approved by staff, and was supported by Al Robinson. All voted in <br />favor. Motion carried. <br />Al Robinson made a MOTION to approve the minor subdivision for <br />Progressive Engineering, 450 Apollo Drive and was supported by Thomas <br />Mesich. All voted in favor. Motion carried. <br />C. CONTINUATION OF A PUBLIC HEARING - 96-1, Rezoning,Minor <br />Subdivision, Site Plan Review, Centennial School District, Elm Street <br />City Engineer Ahrens explained the Planning and Zoning Board had <br />continued this item at the previous meeting and directed the Engineering <br />Consultant, City staff and School District to meet with the residents and <br />present the options available for this project. This joint meeting was <br />held on February 22, 1996 and approximately 75 residents were in <br />attendance. On March 4, 1996, an open house meeting was held and <br />31 comment cards were received from residents in attendance. <br />Mr. Ahrens reported the School District was requesting action on the site <br />plan this evening as the site plan will not change depending on which <br />road plan is approved. <br />Acting Chair Johnson opened the public hearing 7:14 p.m. <br />Planning Consultant Kirmis briefly reviewed the staff report regarding <br />concerns which were addressed at the February 14, 1996 Planning and <br />Zoning Board meeting. <br />6 <br />
