City of Lino Lakes Public Services Department
600 Town Center Parkway – Lino Lakes, MN 55014-1189
651-982-2440 – www.ci.lino-lakes.mn.us

June 2, 2017

Current Resident
NorthPointe Development
Lino Lakes, MN 55038

Re: NorthPointe Park Development Update

Welcome to Lino Lakes! The development of NorthPointe Park is fast approaching.
The City Council awarded the development contract to Sunram Construction, Inc. at the May
22, 2017 City Council meeting. We anticipate grading activity commencing by the end of the
month. I have included a copy of the master plan for NorthPointe Park.

NorthPointe residents are invited to review and provide input on the five playground
equipment proposals at Lino Lakes Fire Station #2 (located at 1710 Birch Street) during the
following dates and times:
Monday, June 12 1:00pm - 8:00pm
Thursday, June 15 5:00pm - 8:00pm

Staff will be making final decisions (i.e. color selection) on Monday, June 26 at 5:30pm at Lino
Lakes City Hall (located at 600 Town Center Parkway). Residents are welcome to attend.

Installation of the playground equipment will be completed on a Saturday (probably August -
September) utilizing neighborhood volunteers. This method is more economical than the
traditional method of having the playground company install the equipment, providing 15% -
20% more playground equipment! A certified playground installer and park maintenance
workers will be on hand to direct the volunteers. Additional information will be mailed to
NorthPointe residents as the details are finalized.

Sincerely,

Rick DeGardner
Public Services Director
