Council Member introduced the following ordinance and moved its adoption: CITY OF LINO LAKES COUNTY OF ANOKA ORDINANCE NO. 1-95 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 4, SUBD. 29 FENCES AND WALLS OF THE CITY ZONING ORDINANCE APPENDIX B1 The City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, Anoka County, Minnesota does ordain: SECTION NO. 1. Section 4, Subd. 29 Fences and Walls, is hereby deleted and replaced by the following: Subd. 29. Fences and Walls. Fences and walls shall require a building permit and shall be permitted in all yards subject to the following: (1) Prior to issuance of a building permit for any boundary line fence, abutting property owners shall be notified. 2) Solid Walls (such as masonry construction) in excess of forty-two (42) inches in height shall be prohibited. (3) Fences in residential districts may be located in any yard to a height of four (4) feet, except that a fence up to six (6) feet in height may be erected from the nearest rear corner titftieriftt of the principal building to the side and/or rear lot line. Wire fences shall not be permitted in residential areas, VIVA +" it ittat tertittoZ,. (4) Should the rear lot line of a lot be common with the side lot line of an abutting lot, that portion of the rear lot line equal to the required front yard of the abutting lot shall not be fenced to a height of more than four (4) feet.
