AGENDA ITEM 6A <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR Brian Wessel, Community Development Director <br />DATE June 12, 1995 <br />TOPIC Resolution #95-73 calling for a public hearing on the plan <br />for Tax Increment Financing District No. 3-1 (Clearwater <br />Creek) <br />The Economic Development Authority has authorized preparation of a plan establishing <br />Tax Increment Financing District 3-1 in the Clearwater Creek Development Center on <br />the 1-35E/County Road 14 interchange. This TIF District will enable to city to provide <br />financial assistance to new businesses locating in the development center. New state <br />legislation going into effect after June 30, 1995 will restrict the use of TIF funds on <br />Green Acres properties within the development center. A public hearing on June 29, <br />1995 will allow the city to certify the district before the cutoff date. Centennial and . <br />White Bear Lake School Districts and Anoka County have received copies for review <br />and will have the required 30 days to respond. <br />1.
