COUNCIL MEETING MAY 22, 1995 <br />Resolution No. 95 - 49 can be found at the end of these minutes. <br />Consideration of Resolution No. 95 - 61 Approving Plans and <br />Specifications and Authorizing Advertisement for Bids for <br />Municipal Well No. 3 - Mr. Heth explain that on September 26, <br />1994, the City Council ordered plans and specifications and <br />authorized eminent domain for Municipal Well No. 3. This project <br />was initiated at that time to insure that another well was "on <br />line" before the peak water use demand occurred in the summer of <br />1995. SEH has submitted plans for the well construction. The <br />pumphouse construction will be bid separately and will begin <br />after the well digging is completed, about mid-August. The <br />construction schedule presented indicates this well will not be <br />"on line" for the peak demand. City staff will evaluate the <br />options for addressing the anticipated demand, will monitor <br />actual demand, and will bring appropriate recommendations to the <br />City Council. <br />Mr. Powell recommended that Resolution No. 95 - 61 Approving the <br />Plans and Specification and Authorizing Advertisement for Bids <br />for Municipal Well No. 3 be adopted. <br />Council Member Bergeson -moved to approve the City Engineer's <br />recommendation. Council Member Elliott seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Resolution No. 95 - 61 can be found at the end of these minutes. <br />Consideration of Resolution No. 95 - 62 Approving Plans and <br />Specifications and Authorizing Advertisement for Bids for the <br />Black Duck Pumping Station - Mr. Heth explained that preparation <br />of plans and specifications for this project was begun early last <br />fall. The documents have now been submitted to the City for <br />approval with a projected construction completion date of August <br />31, 1995. Mr. Heth recommended that the City Council approve <br />Resolution No. 95 - 62 Approving Plans and Specifications and <br />Authorizing Advertisement for Bids. <br />Council Member Elliott moved to adopt Resolution No. 95 - 62 as <br />recommended by Mr. Heth. Council Member Kuether seconded the <br />motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Resolution No. 95 - 62 can be found at the end of these minutes. <br />Consideration of Change Order No. 1, Country Lakes Estates - Mr. <br />Powell explained that the original design alignment for the trunk <br />sanitary sewer along the north side of Birch Street between West <br />Shadow Lake Drive and Fawn Lane called for the removal of many <br />trees of various sizes.
