Council Member introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 95 - 32 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATION FROM MINNESOTA D.A.R.E, INC. FOR THE <br />D.A.R.E. PROGRAM <br />WHEREAS: the Lino Lakes Police Department began teaching the <br />D.A.R.E. program in local elementary schools in January, <br />1995; and <br />WHEREAS: the curriculum, developed by educators, is an elementary <br />school drug prevention curriculum taught by specially <br />selected and trained uniformed police officers; and <br />WHEREAS: Minnesota D.A.R.E., Inc. was made aware of the desire for <br />the Lino Lakes Police Department to teach this program in <br />the elementary schools and has awarded the City a grant <br />of $4,000.00 to defer the cost of this program, and <br />WHEREAS: the monies will be appropriated to the General Fund in <br />the following manner: <br />Increase Revenue - Contributions $4,000.00 <br />Increase D.A.R.E Expenditures: $4,000.00 <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of <br />Lino Lakes hereby accepts the grant of $4,000.00 to help fund the <br />D.A.R.E. program and wishes to express its sincere gratitude and <br />appreciation to Minnesota D.A.R.E., Inc. for the grant. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 13th day of March, <br />1995. <br />Vernon F.
