AGENDA ITEM NO. 14B
STAFF ORIGINATOR Marilyn Anderson, Clerk -Treasurer
DATE March 9, 1995
TOPIC Consideration of Request for Gambling License
from the Dead Broke Saddle Club
.........................
BA KGR
........................
..........................
Attached is an application from the Dead Broke Saddle Club for a
gambling license to operate a gambling booth at the 49 Club
beginning July 1,,1995. I have spoken to the Secretary of State's
office and have verified that this organization is a non-profit
organization meeting all eligibility regulations of the State for
a gambling license.
I have requested and received a certified list of members and their
dates of membership. Eighteen members live in Lino Lakes. All 18
Lino Lakes residents became members of this organization in
February, 1995. 1 have determined that this organization does not
meet any of the eligibility requirements for a Lino Lakes gambling
license at this time. Since Lino Lakes residents must be members
of this organization for at least six (6) months to qualify for a
Lino Lakes Gambling License, I have determined that this
organization will be eligible for a gambling license at the end of
August, 1995.
1. Adopt a motion to deny the request for a gambling license.
2. Return the matter to staff for further information.
Option No.
