AGENDA ITEM NO. 13A <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR Pete Kluegel, Building Official <br />DATE November 9, 1995 <br />TOPIC FIRST READING, Ordinance No. 18 - 95, <br />Establishing the Position and Duties of an <br />Electrical Inspector <br />BACKGROUND: <br />A proposal to establish the position of Electrical Inspector was introduced to <br />the City Council this past summer. The City Council received input from a <br />candidate for the position and also from the State Electrical Board regarding <br />the advantages of retaining the State Inspector. After weighing the <br />advantages of contracting with an individual as a City Electrical Inspector, the <br />City Council asked that an Ordinance be prepared creating the position of <br />City Electrical Inspector. <br />The First Reading of Ordinance No. 18 - 95 Establishing the Position and <br />Duties of an Electrical Inspector was approved on October 23, 1995. There <br />has been no coinrnents on or changes to the proposed ordinance. <br />OPTIONS <br />1. Adopt a motion approving the Second Reading of the Ordinance.. <br />2. Return to staff for further information. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Option No. 1 <br />
