Pecchia <br />DATE October 23, 199.5 <br />TOPIC Consideration of a Joint Powers Agreement <br />with Centennial School District for a Youth <br />Resource Officer <br />BACKGROUND: <br />At the October 9, 1995 City Council meeting, the Lino Lakes City Council approved the <br />Police Department's request that the Lino Lakes City Council enter into negotiations with <br />the Centennial School District to develop a Joint Powers Agreement. <br />The Lino Lakes Police Department and the Centennial School District have completed the <br />necessary paper work for a Joint Powers Agreement. The Joint Powers Agreement is <br />attached, a copy of which was distributed and discussed at a previous work session. <br />This Agreement has been reviewed by the Lino Lakes City Attorney and the Centennial <br />School District officials. A positive response was received from the City Attorney and <br />Centennial School District officials: <br />OPTIONS: <br />Approve and Sign Joint Powers Agreement between the City of Lino Lakes and <br />the Centennial School District for a Youth Resource Officer program <br />Return to staff for further review and consideration. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Option No. 1 <br />
