AGENDA ITEM 1 8 <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Jackie Constant <br />DATE: October 20, 1995 <br />TOPIC: Amendment to Ordinance Requiring Licensing of <br />Commercial Solid Waste Haulers <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Currently, there is a regulatory means for commercial solid waste <br />haulers operating in the City. Ordinance No. 95-94 was passed on <br />April 11, 1994 requiring licenses for Commercial Solid Waste <br />Collection. <br />As discussed in previous council work sessions the initial <br />ordinance was proposed to limit the number of Commercial Solid <br />Waste licenses to six (6). This ordinance should have read seven <br />(7) licenses. <br />OPTIONS: <br />1) Adopt the first reading of Ordinance Amendment 17-95. <br />2) Refer to staff for further discussion. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Option 1 to adopt the first reading of Ordinance Amendment 17-95 <br />
